Adopting From Maine Coon Rescue Alliance

The health and wellbeing of our cats is of utmost importance to us.  When you choose to adopt from Maine Coon Rescue, you will have a case manager assigned to assist you in selecting the right cat for your family.   All of our cats live in our homes and become part of our families while they are in our care

Our adoption process is simple.  First, complete the online application and a volunteer case manager will assist you in adopting a particular cat you are already interested in, or they will present new cats as they enter our adoption program.

For all of our adopters, we ask for a personal reference and a vet ref
erence.  We try not to be intrusive, but please understand that we make a commitment to do our best to find every rescue a forever family.

We are also dedicated to finding a good match; one that meets their individual needs as well as your family, so we're happy to work with you as long as it takes to find the right one.  If you've not filled out the adoption form, you can fill it out and submit it online.

Adoption donations are as follows:

Kittens (spayed/neutered):  $150
Kittens (unaltered):  $100*
Adults (1-6):  $125
Adults (7+) and special needs:  $75

Are you a Senior wanting to adopt a Senior?  Please contact us at mcrcats@gmail.com about our special adoption program just for you!

*In some cases, we allow kittens not yet spayed to go to their forever homes.  However, in these cases, we follow a strict spay/neuter agreement.  This requires the adopter to prepay the spay/neuter with their vet office.  The veterinarian confirms with their signature on a form returned to us.  A follow-up by MCRA will be conducted.  The adoption is contingent upon the kitten being spayed/neutered during the agreed upon time.  If the kitten is not altered, he/she must be returned to MCRA.
