Riley loves to play and does well with kittens I have fostered. She likes to watch them, and will occasionally play with them.  She’s met a few other cats when on vacation with me, and typically tries to play with them after her 3-4 day hiding period.  She's a bit too lively for my two older cats that I rescued after Riley. She has only been around one dog and for only a few days, and when the dog came near her she simply hissed and moved away. She may warm up to dogs, but I don't know for sure.

Riley is shy at first, and takes a while to warm up to strangers (with a few exceptions-she likes a few people right off the bat). I've moved three times with her since college, and it takes her about a week each time before becoming acclimated to her new surroundings. This involves hiding and hissing for a few days. By the third day she will typically venture out and rub all over you. I would like her to go into a home with experienced cat owners, or someone with a lot of patience. She can be very loving, but it may take a while. It is well worth the wait for her to bond with you.

She has always been an indoor cat, but likes to occasionally run around outside in a safe area for a few hours. She has an adorable cry that you only rarely hear, and usually it's when she wants outside or into a room if the door is closed.
Riley is good with children and with cats that like to play.
