Description:

Curtail is a Courtesy Post.  Please contact Marilyn at 210-488-4100

Curtail is young, but already has an exciting history.  She was found in a tree in the backyard and is that rare feral kitten that is tame.  Curtail does not bite or scratch.  She purrs all the time when held which she loves.  But if you put her down, she hides.  For this reason she must always be an inside cat.

She escaped on a vet trip and had to be trapped, but obviously loves being held and wants to be with people.  She has no problem with dogs or cats and probably would be great with children, but she has not met any!

Curtail is a gorgeous kitty that may need guidance to learn the confines of her forever home.  She would have a home already if we did not have five cats.  Curtail is quite distinctive and has charmed all who have met her.  The vet wrote “Great cat” on her chart.  SHE HAS NO TAIL.  Not a hair, not a whisp of a tail.  Happily she is free from the medical problems that tail-less cats are sometimes born with with.

Curtail needs an experienced owner, due to her shyness at first.  If she is left alone for a long time, she will find a place to hide.

We would prefer that Curtail be adopted by someone in the SanAntonio/Hill Country area so that the transport time is short.  After all she has an escape history!  We might arrange a hand-off to someone from the Metroplex or Coastal area who would meet us halfway.
