Lydia
was an only cat who was surrendered to a high kill shelter south of here when her owner became sick with cancer.  We removed her the day before she was scheduled to be euthanized.

Lydia would be very happy as an only cat but would gladly share her home with a mild mannered kitty.   She has recently shared a small room with an easy going tortie and they have become fast friends.

She is a gentle talkative kitty with a small sweet voice.  Lydia comes running to greet me when I enter the room.  She loves sitting on my lap, being stroked and especially likes hearing how beautiful she is.  Lydia would be happiest in a quiet home.  She may not run to greet company when they come calling but she will be a very loving companion to her owner.  Expect her to hide under the bed or sofa for the first few days (very common as you know) in her new home.  But in just a few days, Lydia will settle in and make your home, your lap and your heart her own.

We do not know how she would do with dogs or small children.  She has only lived in a quiet home.
