This is a Courtesy Post. Please Contact: Feline Rescue of Northern California, Inc. Juliet is being fostered in San Francisco - Transportation can be arranged.
“Jenny” (aka “Juliet”) is an exquisite sable/black Maine Coon mix Tuxedo girl, a little over a year old. She spent the first year of her life on her own, living in a box by the front door of a small cabin. Crystal, the woman who lived there, had Jenny spayed and fed her, but couldn’t allow her indoors…too many other animals (and people).
Jenny is very human centered. She either jumps on an available lap or plops down at our feet. We gradually introduced her to our very sweet resident cats, but Jenny never seemed completely
comfortable. Jenny would sometimes growl softly when a cat came close to her; other times, she didn’t seem to mind the other cats but never interacted with them. Got along with a small dog.
A week ago, Jenny moved to a new foster mom Kathy, who hoped to adopt her. Jenny loves to be with Kathy, is absolutely affectionate, smart and very trainable. Kathy was delighted, named Jenny “Juliet,” cuddled, groomed and slept with her - a “forever” cat! Kathy teaches school during the day, and Jenny became very unhappy when Kathy is away. (E.g. Jenny knocked over her litter box and broke items on the chest of drawers.) We believe Juliet/Jenny was insecure and probably bored. Jenny needs more regular human contact--someone who is very patient and will give her time to adjust….maybe someone who has experience with cats like Jenny who have had a rough start in life, and can be at home with her most of the time.
Jenny has been tested, spayed and vaccinated.
