Description:
Chloe is a real people cat, but doesn't care for small children to chase her (neither do I.) She loves everyone and has never shied away from anyone. She’ll rub on your ankles and fingers all day! She purrs all the time and has the sweetest little chirp. She’s never been demanding, but when you’re talking to her she gets more and more vocal with her trill until she’s making one continuous trill for several seconds at a time. Kind of like the motorboat sound a baby makes, with her voice trailing up at the end. It’s really endearing!

She loves to follow us around the house. The first day she came home from the shelter, we took her to our office before we went home and we let her out of her crate and she followed us all over the office. We commented the other day that she acts more like a puppy in a kitty costume, following us and chirping. We can lead her to the food and water bowl just like we can a pup.

Chloe has decided she likes to get under the covers with you on a cold night and often stays several hours at a time. I started out holding the sheet and blankets up off of her body, but when I got tired and wanted to go to sleep, I let them fall on her. She wiggled a bit, but stayed right there for a long time. Later in the night I felt her moving around and she got out from under the covers and laid on my pillow until I rolled over and threw her tail up over my cold, bald head. She stayed there until time to get up.

She is a bit protective of her tummy since her recent spay and her back legs. She’d much rather you scratch (and scratch HARD) her head and neck. She loves to lie in our laps for a quick nap and will often hide her head in our arms. But if you start to pet her rear legs, her tail twitches and she looks up as if to say, “You know better.”

She also isn’t real fond of being picked up or carried, although she tolerates it for a short time.

She loves strings and ribbons and is learning how to play with balls and stuffed toys. She taught us how she plays soccer the other night and I got some video of it.

PLEASE NOTE: NO CHILDREN UNDER 5 YRS. OLD. DOES GREAT WITH OLDER CHILDREN WHO RESPECT HER PRIVACY.

Please note that we do NOT adopt outside Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Louisiana. Please check Petfinder for cats closer to your location.
We require all potential adopters to be approved prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We are not a shelter and all cats are fostered in private homes.
